“That’s right folks! Cameron Forecourt are one of the proud sponsors of AN ACTUAL RACE TEAM IN THE BRITISH TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS!”
Cameron Forecourt is proud to announce that it is sponsoring the TEAM POWER HVG Racing Team throughout the British Truck Racing Championships (BRTC) 2017 racing calendar. Eight events are being held across the UK at some of the most prestigious race tracks, including Donnington and Brands Hatch.
Cameron Forecourt’s long standing relationship with the road haulage industry makes HGV Truck Racing a natural choice when choosing a sponsorship partner. Cameron Forecourt is a specialist company offering supply, installation and maintenance services for fuel storage tanks, pumping systems, fuel monitoring systems, tank gauging along with many other related products and services.
Cameron Forecourt took up the opportunity when approached by Andrew Fulcher; operations Director of Lenham Storage and Distribution. Lenham Storage are a long-term customer of Cameron Forecourt.
Following a logistics career spanning 30 years, Andrew has been Operations Director for Lenham Storage for the past 13 years.
Andrew’s passion lies with racing, he competed in the Alpha Romeo Championship during the 2016 season. This will be Andrew’s first season in the BTRC but he is confident and excited at the challenge ahead.
Andrew’s racing partner is none other than Steve Powell, who; following a family tradition with his father being one of the first truck racers over 30 years ago, started to race in the BTRC in 2007.
During his first season, Andrew will be competing in Division 2 in team mate Steve Powell’s last season vehicle, a MAN TGX. The vehicle performed reliably during the 2016 season competing in division 1.
Steve is currently the Regional Sales Manager for a LGV Parts Supply Company as well as being a founding member of Trucksport UK. Steve was also Division 2 Champion in 2011 and again in 2015.
This year Andrew joins Steve driving in Division 2 and Steve will be behind the wheel of his bonneted Sisu race truck boasts the following:
• Cummings M11 Engine
• Electronic Fuel Injection System
• 800 bhp
• 4,000nm torque
• Eaton Fuller 16 Speed Gearbox
• Limited to 100mph
Of course, the vehicle also proudly sports some Cameron Forecourt branding to help boost this impressive specification further.
“This is Cameron Forecourt’s first foray in sponsoring HGV Truck Racing, Barry Jenner explains, ‘we just couldn’t resist the opportunity to get involved in these exciting events whilst supporting a long-term customer.”
Andrew said :
“ I’m really looking forward to the first Championship event at Brands Hatch.
I will have a lot to learn about the truck and how it drives but having Steve as a team mate will be invaluable.
The initial aim for me is to get to grips with the truck as quickly as possible and start working my way up the grid. Steve is already more than capable of race wins and podium finishes at the very least and by working together in the paddock we want both Team Power trucks to finish frequently in podium places and be challenging for the Division 2 Championship”
British truck racing events offer a high degree of entertainment, with a mixture of fast action packed racing, truck manufacturer vehicle demonstrations, show truck displays and competitions, transport industry exhibitions, stunt shows, live concerts, fireworks and family fun zones.

In addition to the truck races there will be Pickup Truck racing and Legend car racing to form part of the support package at all UK events.
